SITE MIGRATION AND TESTING FRIDAY 06/10/05. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

This is probably not the page you were thinking you would find, but I've made a few major changes to the site, hopefully good ones, and have changed the way the password works. You'll have to bear with me a moment as I explain.

Text-wise and font-wise, the site is now ADA accessible for those who are visually impaired. On Internet Explorer, go to :: View >>> Text Size >>> and choose either Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, or Smallest :: to adjust the text size to that which is the most comfortable for you.

The site is now optimized for 1024 x 768 or higher resolution viewing with a side bar menu and only one user interface. I am sorry for all of you with 800 x 600, but according to my stats, the 1024 entrance is the most used and is considered the industry standard. The pages have been tested at 800 x 600 on a variety of browsers (including AOL) and work fine, but you will have to adjust text size to make it more comfortable (see above). Also, if you use side-bar menus (such as favourites and history), I would suggest turning them off if you like the wider window.

All story ratings have been deleted. Since everyone here is over 18, or is supposed to be, it is assumed some stories contain graphic sex. I had someone tell me that some people would get angry if they started reading a story and there was no sex and no warning that there is no sex. You must be joking! This is why we have the "Gen" category. <shaking my head in disbelief>

All stories will be listed by Author and Story Arc only. Again, I apologise to those of you who liked it by title or by pairing, but there is only so much time I have to post stories (and I have over 300 more waiting on my hard-drive). That's the bad news. The good news is that you no longer have to go to an author page to get to a story (except mine from the side bar): all stories will be direct linked. The Author page has all the story summaries, pairings, and warnings now. Makes for a long page, but there aren't THAT many stories here-yet.

Speaking of direct links: The site is now fully password protected. This means that every story is protected and you can save cookies to make access easier. I DO NOT track these cookies; neither does anyone else. Password and site direct link is shown under the glyph to the left. Bookmark the new page, tell your computer to remember the log-in, and you're all set.

Because of the new password system, you can now direct link stories on other sites. If the reader doesn't have the user name and password, they can't read it, rather like Ink Stained Fingers or the PSA or The Restricted Section.

Artwork will soon be migrated to its own site as I will need the bandwidth for stories on this site. More on that later. A Turn of the Page now has over 3,200 registered users and growing daily. I never guessed it would ever get this large.

As of 31 December 2005, these old existing entry pages will disappear--a New Year's gift to myself. Please bookmark the new entry before then.
